LODGE ANNIVERSARY.
GROUP INSTALLATION. The ninth anniversary of the Loyal Avon Lodge, M.U.,1.0.0.F., was held in conjunction with the combined installation of officers for No. 5 group, over 150 members and visitors being in attendance. The District Grand Master, Brother W. F. Bates, acted as installing officer, being ably assisted by a team of district officers. The officers installed were: —Loyal Avon Lodge: N.G., Brother Wannan; V.G., Sister Wright; E. 8., Brother L. Pope; 1.P.N.G., Brother L. R. Pope. Loyal Mount Albert Lodge: N.G., Sister M. Foreter; V.G., Sister C. Forster; E.S., Brother Williams; 1.P.N.G., Brother Tripp. Loyal Lynndale Lodge: N.G., Brother Chadwick; V.G., Sister Weber; I.P.N G., Sister Powell. Loyal Chevalier .Lodge: N.G., Brother Perkins: V.G., Brother Edwards; E.S., Brother Perkins; 1.P.N.G., Sister Hampton. Loyal Waimauku Lodge: N.G., Sister Kilgour: V.G., Brother Jackson: E.S., Brother Braithwaite; 1.P.N.G.. Sister Lennox^ The group officer, Brother E. F. Newton, announced that the Loyal Avon Lodge had won the ritual competition, with 472 points. Loyal Lynndale being second with 462. Brother Bates presented the shield to the winning N.G., Brother L. R. Pope. A past grand collar was presented to Sister Tapp, of Loyal Chevalier Lodge, and past grand emblems to Sister Lydiard - and Brother Child, of the Loyal Avon Lodge.
