DAUGHTER OF AUTOPAY. The Australian-bred mare, Mon Star by Great Star from Silver Larl, has pro duced a filly foal to Autopay. Mon Star is owned by the veteran owner-trainer, D P. Moraghan. HAS THE ABILITY. Night Pilot, the two-year-old co>lt bj Xio-ht Raid from Lytup in E. George i stable, has made marked improvement during the last month. He is built or more robust lines than his stayle mate, Nightbeani, and is a good constitu tioned youngster. Night Pilot, who has rot yet raced, was given a work-out ovei three furlongs thin morning and his effort indicated that he is endowed with speed A PROMISING PAIR. Tt is unlikely tha.t Worton and Chcd dington will be required to race unti the summer meetings arrive. Both thesi two-years-olds have been showing pro mising speed in their work, but owing tc the fact that they are very big youngsters especially Cheddington, and still growint fast, their preparation is not beinj hurried. Later in the season both thes< colts are likely to develop into gallopen above the average. VICTORY FOR OUTSIDER. Although St. Cloud had won a race a the Geraldine meeting in September, sh< was one of the outsiders when she woi the Halswell Handicap at the Bank | Peninsula meeting.
