NEW 2EALAWDER IN FINALS. (Received 11 a.m.) BERLIN, August 16. G. B; Ward (N.Z.) beat Get kef (Germany) in the fourth round of the German amateur golf championship. The score was H and 1. __ A later message from Bad ESms states that Ward, beating Weylteusen (Germany), 3 and 2, reached the final.
G. B. Ward, a left-hander, partnered J. P. Mortland (Taihape) When the pair won the New Zealand amateur foursomes, with a score of 151, at New Plymouth in 1936. Ward was then a member of the Hn'tt ClOb, but about a year ago he Went to England and sectored a position on the. staff of a big retail sports emporium in London.
