MONTHLY MEETING.
AimiAL PROTECTION! ♦ SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the Animal Protection Society was held laat evening. Mr. C. F. Quinnell presided. Excellent reports were presented by the convener* of the jumble sale committee and the bridge circle.
The honorary organiser of the junior league reported a steady increase in the number of children enrolled from various schools. In connection with the children's literary competition the society's quarterly prize had been won by Ruth Sayers, of Papatoetoe. A sub-committee was elected to assist with the street collection on orphanage day.
At the close of the meeting supper was served by the following members of the ladies' committee: Mrs. J. J. Kearney, Mrs. F. Bushell, Mrs. L. J. Bishop, Mrs. E, C. Stace, Mrs. C. F. Quinnell, Mrs. H. G. K. Adamson, Mrs. J. S. Whitford. Miss Joan Rattray and Mis* Pat NevUl.
