Just past the old Mount Albert tram terminus a sixty-Foot gum was uprooted and fell across New North Road, blocking one set of tram lines and carrying away all the telephone wires, ca de and two supporting overhead tram wires. The tree was one of a grove in the railway reserve alongside the road, and others were bending dangerously to the strong wind this morning. When the photographer arrived the tree had been removed from the lines.
