NEW RACING BOAT.

DESIGN OF BLUEBIRD 11. British Official Wireless. RUGBY, August 13. The design of Sir Malcolm Campbell's new> racing boat Bluebird 11., with which he left London yesterday for Consister Water, in the Lake district, where he may attempt to exceed his water speed record of 130.9 miles an hour, departs from its predecessor in several features. Its hull is fitted with sponsons, or flaps, projecting from the side of the boat la common feature of flying boats) and a rear step. The result is susj nsion at three points, which the designers hope will offer greater stability and less resistance to the water speeds.

An 1800 horse-power Rolls Royce engine is fitted at present, but if tests justify it another engine of 2300 horsepower will be installed.
