COAL MINE IS IDLE.
ACTION BT ROPE BOYS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, this day. Although weather conditions moderated to-day, with a thaw in coastal districts, inland districts and the foothills are still thickly coated with snow, following the week-end atorm. There is between eight inches and a foot of snow at Rewanul, where the Liverpool State mine is situated. Rope boys at the mine this morning declined to work in the snow, rendering the mine idle for the day. All transport services are normal.
