CAR AND VAN.

PONSONBY COLLISION.

When a light delivery van, driven by Mr. David Charles Benjamin, of Oratia. came into collision with a car driven by Mr. Christopher Mead Worsfold, of Whenuapai, at the corner of Mackelvie Street and Ponsonby Road, about four o'clock yesterday afternoon, Mr. Benjamin's wife suffered lacerations to the forehead. She was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance and was treated in the casualty ward. The van was fairly extensively damaged, the windscreen being shattered, the bumper torn off and the radiator badly smashed. The steering column was also broken. The doors of the car and the steering column were damaged.
