ACT UPHELD.
COMMUNISM IN QUEBEC. MOXTRFAL. June 1. The Ait passed in Quebec against Communism providing for the padlocking of premises used for the dissemination of Communistic literature and holding Communist meetings, or conducting Communist schools has been upheld by the Superior Court. The Court declared that the purpose of the Act was to prevent, and not to punish. There was no violation of free speech since a .suspected Communist was still free to voice opinions.
