CAN DONOVAN BEAT BLOMFIELD AGAIN?
With the wrestling season now well |f progress the Xew Zealand champion, Lofty Blomheld. has demonstrated that not oniy is he the best drawcard in the country, but that he can meet the strongest opposition on at least equal terme. He has hac only one defeat in eight matches and that at the hands of '"Irish" Jack Donovan, the ex-champion class pugilist, in their initial meeting in Wellington on May 8. Since then they have not clashed—and there has been keen competition amonz the wrestling centres for the privilege of promoting the match. Auckland has trained the verdict and on Saturday night at the Town Hall Blomfield \r«l oi.ee again enter the ring with Donovan as his opponent. That it will be a. thrilling match is without doubt. Both of them powerfully built men, they are of similar rugged style in the ring, and from the opening of the bout the sparks should b« flying. It would have been difficult for the A.W.A. to have arranged a better match for the King's Birthday -week-end. It will provide just the type of wrestling entertainment for which Auckland ha* always shown a preference.
