Mr. B. Allen «as a passenger for Wellington in the express this afternoon. The Hon. W. E. Parry. Minister of Internal Affairs, left for the Smth last night. Mr. V. R. Cluiin will leave in the Limited express this evening for Wellington. Mr. F. 0. Knight will leave for Wellington by tiie Limited express this evening. Mr. A. Fogerty is a passenger for Wellington in the Limited express this evening. Mr. A. W. Gardner arrived from Wellington in the Limited express this morning. Mr. W. -J. Lyon. M.P.. was a passenger by the Limited express from Wellington this morning. Mr. W. T. Ikin arrived in the Awatea from Sydney to-day and will travel to Wellington by the Limited express. Mr. Joseph Creeke. deputy-superin-tendent of the Wellington Fire Brigade, retired on Wednesday. Mr. Creeke intends to live at Whakatane. Major R. <<. Byron, military set-ret ary to the (Jovernor-General. Lord Gal way. and Mr. 1). K. Fouliey. otfieial secretary, arrived by the Limited express from Wellington this morning. Messrs. T. E. V. Seddon. J. D. Tl arper and Dr. Marshall Maedonald. members of the War Pensions Board, which has been sitting in Auckland for the past ten days, left for the South to-day. Mr. E. P. Godwin. who recently retired from the Birmingham Post Office, left Wellington for Auckland yesterday. He will join the Niagara on .lime 10 on his return trip to England, via Canada. The Rev. W. .1. Westerman. of Sydney, field secretary <>f the Australa-ian l"ni«>n Conference of the Seventh Day Adver.tist Church, left ye-terday in the Matua to visit the Church mission station at Tonga. Mr. -I. O. M. Herriott. a member of the city treasurer's staff, notified the Auckland City Council of his resignation la-t evening and it was accepted with regret. Mr. Herriott has been appointed assistant town clerk of the Mount Albert Borough Council. Mr. P. C'arr. a member of the Auckland City Council, who is at present in hospital, having undergone an operation. has baen granted three months' leave of absence. Members expressed the hope that Mr. C'arr would make a speedy recovery. ===== I
