FRESH TAXATION.

Increases Anounced In Eire Budget. INCOME TAX 5/6 IN THE £. (Received 10 a.m.) DUBLIN, May 10. Mr. Sean McEntee, Minister of Finance, presented in the Dail the Eire Budget. It- provides for £1,169,000 of fresh taxation, increasing income tax by 1/ to 5/6, petrol tax 2d, surtax 10 to 15 per cent, according to incomes, and tobacco duty 8d per lb. The estimated revenue is £32,522,000, and the surplus £11,000. The deficit is £527,000, revenue being £31,884.000 and expenditure £33,110,000, of which £698,500 is chargeable to borrowing. This is the highest since Eire became self-governing.
