Y'eetftflay the Aimtralinne played at f'otorua and Hamilton, and von Nida added two more fine contributions to his play in New Zealand. At Rotorua, where the visitors played T. 8. Galloway, the Kotorua professional, and the club's leading amateur, C. Bailey, von Nida had * round of 63. This \m ii stroke better than A. J. Murray recorded for his record at the prot'enM.onal'tourney lant February, but it does not affect the othcial record. Dri-pite this remarkable round the visitors won by only 2 and 1. At Hamilton, R. Gludinu, the Hamilton amateur champion, and the professional, J. Molvin, opposed the visitors. Von Nida hnd the bent round of the four, 73. which in one below the scratch score ot the couree. Both the Australians went out in 37, one stroke below scratch, at which Htagc Olndiiiit'H score wa« 31). Melvin did not complete two holes doing out, but lie would not have been able *o break 40. Afc Hip end of nine holes the Australians were 3 up. On the inward nine holes von Nida recorded scratch figure* of 36. Glading 38, Cremin 39 and Melvin 42. The Australian* did not lose a hole and won the match 4 up and 3 to play.
