SOME USEFUL EFFORTS. SILVER QUEX GOES WELL JONATHAN A:lso PLEASES. As the result of rain overnight the going on Xo. 2 graee track at Elle.relie this morning was a sliade easier than usual. Some useful trials were recorded, the beet being those of Silver Quex and Jonathan over six furlongs, while Adsum and Tupeotu shaped well over a round. Fleetwind (Gilchrist) got to ihe end of Bix lurlongs in 1.19, doing it comfortably. Over a similar dietance Aero King (Meiaviah) took 1.21. He ran the rivet three iurlungs in 3!) 2-ss, ana wae running on nicely at the end of hie work. Aero Queen (bargent) and Trevuce (Hearn) reeled over nve iurlcxnge in 1.3 2-5, tlie laet half-mile taking 51 3-ss. The best six furlongs of the morning was credited to Silver Quex (Gilehrist), who ran the distance in 1.18, the first three taking 38 3-ss. Molvanui (Nesbit) strode over a round, running the last six furlongs in 1.23 4-5. Electric Spear (Fearn) completed a useful task by traversing his last live furlongs in 1.7, and Kline (Xeebit) came home from the half-mile post in 53 2-5s without being hurried. Bright Idea (Buchanan) and Surd In (Kerr) were on terms at the end of four furlongs, which took 52 2-ss. An Easy Task. « Valmint (Wiggins) strode over six furlongs, but was not going better than 15s to the [iirlc.ng. Alyth (Hearn) ran the Jast half mile nf her work in s(is, and Master VjiaU took 55 l-5s for the same distance. Ohinaha (Fearn) was going comfortably while traversing six furlongs in 1.23 4-5, the last three taking 41 l-ss. Black Marlin (Craddoek) completed a round in 1.57 2-5, tho last six furlongs occupying 1.27 4-5. He could have gone considerably faster if required. Beeswing (Kerr) got to the end of half a mile in 535, doing it well within herself. Jonathan I Wiggins) and Agog (Bruce) traversed six furlongs in 1.18 4-5, the first three taking .'iK 'J-.ts. Jonathan impressed most, but Agog also went well. Royal Appellant I (Biichiin) sprinted his last three furlongs in 3!) 4-ss. handling the going in good style. Wild Acre (Sargent) ran four furlongs in 51 2-.">s. and Mahala (Ken) completed three furlongs in 40 2-ss. Adsum (Sinton) and Tupeotu (Bruce) traversed a round in 1.53 3-5, the final six furlongs taking 1.25 2-5. It was a good workout for jumpers. Valspear (Craddoek) took 1.23 1-5 for six furlongs, time on which lie could have improved.
