ANNUAL MEETING.
COUNTIES' ASSOCIATION. BIRMINGHAM AND MIDLAND. The Birmingham and Midland Counties Association held its annual meeting,, ■ social and dance last evening at the Fabian rooms, Lower Queen Street. The president, Mr. Horace \». Hampton, presided. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—English patron, Mr. Lawrence C. Tipper; New Zealand patron, the Hon. Walter Xash; president, Mr. Horace V. Hampton; vice-presidents. Mesdames E. Anstie, E. Hughes; Messrs. Phil Lewis and W. Perkins; secretary-treasurer, Mr. George J. Brookes; sick visitor and overseas correspondent, Mrs. S. A. Pearsall; committee, Mesdames M. M. Bowes, H. Diver, A. E. Graham, V. M. Hampton. W. Perkins; Messrs. F. Anstie, sen.. W. F. Bowee, J. Diver, W. E. Graham. T. Hughes. The visitors of the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Anderson (Lancashire Society). Songs were rendered by Miss Thrift. Dancing followed, the Monte Carlo. Palaie Glide and Lambeth Walk being much enjoyed. • Madame Dunn was welcomed back after her visit to Australia. An excellent supper was served by the committee, the hostess being Mrs. Shaw. Mr. Hampton was master of ceremonies, and Madame Dunn was the dance pianist and accompanist.
