Messages have been received by Army headquarters from Field-Marshal Lord Rirdwood and from General Sir Alexander Godley. to whom Anzae Day messages of greetings were sent. Once again I am glad to be able to send my most hearty and sincere greetings to my old comrades of the" New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and to many old friends in New Zealand, with most sincere wishes for peace, happiness and prosperity for many rears to come," states Lord Birdwood. "My most grateful thanks to New Zealand soldiers for their Anzac message and remembrance, which my wife and I most warmly reciprocate," states Sir Alexander Godiey'6 reply.
