SUNSHINE ATTRACTS MANY RACEGOERS.

Distinctive Frocking At Avondale Meeting.

Not only an enthusiasm for racing, but lovely weather attracted a large number to Avondale to-day when the Avondale Jockey Club held the second day of their autumn meeting.

An excellent opportunity was given for the wearing of autumn -models and .a number of attractive ensembles were to be seen. Tweed suits were as popular as ever, and in all the new weaves struck a distinctive note. The fuschia and cyclamen tonings in both frocks and in suits contributed colour to the scene and were particularly outstanding when accompanied by various shades of blue. Felt hats were the order of the day and featured the new high crowns.
