DELAYED BY FOG.

MONTEREY, AORANGI AND MAHANA. KIIXOBAN TO BERTH. WABIAEAMA SAILS AT 8 P.M. The arrival of vessels this morning was delayed by a fog -which set in from the sea shortly after 6.30 a.m. and did not clear until 10 a.m. ffhe Monterey, from San Franeieeo via way porte, got half-way in between North Head and Bean Rock when the fog came down 6O thick that it was unsafe to proceed up harbour, and she ancnorcd until 10 •a.m., berthing at Queen's wharf at 10.30. She landed 87 passengers and has 229 for Sydney and Melbourne, for which ports she will sail at 11.30 p.m. to-day with a further 270 passengers booked here. The Canadian Australasian Royal Mail liner Aorangi was held up by the fog. She arrived early this morning from Sydney and anchored in Rangitoto Channel, berthing shortly before 11 a.m. She will sail at 11 a.m. to-morrow for Vancouver, via Suva, Honolulu and Victoria, B.C. The Shaw Savill steamer Mahana arrived this morning from fJlartetone, Queensland, to commence loading for Halifax, London and Xew-castle-on-Tyne. She was delayed down channel by the fog and anchored in the stream at 10.35 a.m., where she will lie until to-morrow morning, taking the Monterey's berth at Queen's wharf. This vessel is expected to leave for Napier on Thursday evening. The Finnish barque Killoran, which has been at anchor in the stream since Sunday week awaiting a berth, will be towed in to the King's wharf in the morning to commence discharge of h*er cargo of guano from the Seychelles. The Shaw .Savill and Albion liner Waimarama. which is completing her home loading at King's wharf, will sail at 8 p.m. to-day for London with 12 passengers and a full cargo. She goes via Santos, Rio de Janeiro and Hook of Holland.

Dominion Monarch left shortly after 7 a.m. yesterday for Hawke's Bar and Wellington to complete home loading. She sails on April 26 for Southampton and London, via Australia and South Africa.
