Infantry reinforcements were sent to the Bulgarian frontier after reports that Bulgarians were moving toward the Rumanian frontier. Unconfirmed reports say that Bulgaria has asked Germany whether she will support claims to Southern Dobrudja. which was ceded to Rumania after the second Balkan War. The Rumanian Government's serious view of the international situation lias caused King Carol to cancel receptions for the time being. M. Gafencu. Tilea has been entrusted with far-reaching plans, aiming at the preservation of Rumanian independence, which will be negotiated in London. It is authoritatively stated in Paris that Rumania has agreed to accept a British guarantee. This might take the form of a military agreement under which Poland, and Rumania also, would receive unlimited supplies of munitions and war aeroplanes from Russia in the event of aggression.
