TEACHER FAREWELLED.
DOMINION ROAD SCHOOL.
After eleven years' teaching at the Dominion Road School, Miss Wright, who is on transfer to Opotiki, was farewelled at a gathering of parents and pupils on Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Stenberg, chairman of the school icommittee, referred to Miss Wright's Association with the school from its inception, and paid tribute to her many sterling qualities and undoubted popularity with the children.
In presenting Miss Wright with a solid leather travelling case, Mr. McCowan, headmaster, assured her of their best wishes for her future success and a continuation of good health and prosperity. A happy function concluded with a presentation of bouquets by a senior boy and girl, after which afternoon tea was dispensed by the committee.
