NEW SCHOOL WANTED.

MOUNT ROSKILL DISTRICT.

MANY STATE HOUSES INTENDED 1

In view of tKe erection of State houses in the district, the school committee of the Mount Roekill school requested the Auckland Education Board this morning to provide a new school. The committee added that the Government proposed to buy an area with a view to building an additional 480 houses. The chairman, Mr. W. J. Campbell, said it would be foolish to go ahead before the board knew exactly what the Government proposed to do in the district.

The board decided to write to the Housing Department for information.
