BOROUGH WORKS.
OTAHTTHU DISCUSSION. "In view of the fact that the end of the financial year is approaching andas a new programme of work will he drawn up, I think it advisable that other members of the council besides those comprising the works committee, should be consulted and notified of decisions arrived at," said Mr. Pegler at a meeting of the Otahuhu Borough Council last evening. The Mayor, Mr. C. R. Petrie, said that no written programme was adopted by the works committee, and it was open to any member of the council to offer suggestions when a tour of inspection of the borough was made by the whole council, which usually took place at the beginning of each financial year. The chairman of the works committee, Mr. W. Morton, stated that an inspection of the borough would take place shortly.
