tOCAI. BODIES' MtOPOSAIA. A conference of local bodies in the south suburban area confirmed the observance of Physical Fitness Week on the lines suggested by the Minister of Internal Affaire, the Hon, W. E. Parrv. The Mayor of Otahuhu, Mr. C. R. Petrie, presided. At the conference a tentative programme, embracing sport* meeting* in eaph of the four township*, and a swimming carnival at Otahuhu on the openday, was arranged. Mr. Petrie intimated that it was proposed to hold a "People's Day" in Otahuhu on February 25. Other districte would be asked to joia in the function.
