CONGRESS RUINING INDIA. (Received 2 p.m.) BOMBAY, January 29. "I feel that I have the strength to lead a more strenuous battle than any I have fought," writes the Tw>«n Nationalist leader, Mahatma Gandhi, in an article in the Press. "We need a purging of the present Congress. Corruption is rampant and is leading India. toward anarchy and red ruin." Subhas Chandra Bose has been reelected president of the Congress. This is regarded as a defeat for Gandhi and the Congress high command, which was backed by the Rightist, Dr. Sitaramayya. Chandra Bose said the election meant a victory for opponents of federation and predicted the end of compromise with Britain.
