By defeating Wellington College Old Boys by 15 rune on the first innings yesterday, Institute Old Boys maintained Its unbeaten record (or the season and is leading for the senior cricket championship with 24 points from Midland, which has 20 points. On the opening day Wellington College Old Boys scored 284 and Institute had lost one wicket for 14. Resuming yesterday, Institute scored 299 (Scott 34, A. McLean 47, Cook 23, Dempster 28, Boddy 75, Henderson 29). Boddy and Henderson put on 72 for the eighth wicket. For Old Boys, Boyes took fiv« wickets for 74. In response to University's total of 231, Midland ran up 405 (Tindlll 100, O'Neill dO, Hepburn 64). University was dismissed for 130 in its second innings (Harpur Sβ, McMillan 25). Bowling -for Midland: Osborn five for 22, Randall four for 22. Midland won by an innings and 44 runs. Wellington, which resumed with 147 runs on for - three wickets, in replv to Hutt'e 252, was dismissed for a total of 242 (Kuhn 43, Morgan 36, Whyte 66, Menley 26). Bowling for Hutt: McLeod live for 42, Muir two for 59, Champness two for 32. Hutt scored 171 for five wickets, declared, in its second innings (R. W. Stehr 49, McLeod 40 not out, Williams 30). Wellington at stumps had 123 on for four wickets (Kuhn 54, Ell 25). Kilbirnie, which scored 243. beat Karori by an innings and nine runs. Karori totalled 77 (R. W. Coupland 23) and 157 (Standidge 50 not out, McDonald 18). Bowling for Kilbirnie: J. Aehendsn one for 30 and seven for 30, Farsloe four for 17, Parkin four for 14, Wilson one for 5 and one for 25. K.
