Hunter-Murderer
I EO WOJTYSIAK, of Edwrofe. La burg, Michigan, killed liimylf with a shotgun when a sheriff posse trailed him home and sought to arrest him for slaying Harrr Ger« langer two hours earlier. Gerlangcr, a farmer 50 years old, was shot to death when he attempted to chase two hantert off his land. Mrs. Gerlanger called the sheriff and a posse took up the trail which led to ojtysiak s yard. As the posse entered a shot was fired from a window. Deputies returned the lire and when shots from within stopped they rushed th« house. Wojtysiak, 52, was found dead. His pons, Joseph. 16, and John, 13, were hiding behind an overturned table. Joseph said his father had killed Gerlanger and committed suicide when be saw he could not escape from the posse.
