CAR THROUGH FENCE.

SPECTACULAR CRASH. (From Our Correspondent.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Friday. A spectacular accident occurred at the corner of Ferguson Street and Fitzherbert Avenue to-day when, as a result of a collision with a touring car, a sedan car of fairly heavy type mounted the Ferguson Street footpath, went through a board fence, several yards of which were demolished, and came to rest in the back yard of a resident's house alongside a portion of the fence. Neither driver, Mr. H. B. Webster, of Palmerston North, and Mr. I. J. Buckland, of 541, Boundary Road, Palmerston North, was seriously injured, both merely sustaining minor cuts and abrasions.
