Kelly (Wellington) joined the last four, defeating tfaddock, the Waikato hoy champion, easily. The game was characterised by excellent baseline driving on the part of both boy«. Possessing by far the severest overhead play of the competition, R. McKenzie (Wellington) had no difficulty in beating Smith (Wellington), who recovered in the second set and forced McKenzie into errors. Xola Rymes (Auckland) was far too good for June Carrell (Wellington). The latter made too many mistakes, off easy shots, really I»eati'ng herself. Miss tiies found touch better to-day. l)ofi* fclsom (Canterbury) Was just too good for Rosemary Hodges (Auckland), who appeared tired After yesterday's long games.
