Operations ceased laßt September pending readjustment of finances und work was resumed In the mine to-day. Prepa ml ions for fdnkinjr on the nrw reef from No. 3 level at a point where good values were met are now m-inj: made. Fourteen miners were put on to-day for the purpose of carrying out this work. UNA HILL RESUMPTION. Una Consolidated Gold Mines, Limited, Auckland, reports that its mine of the Uiaiiies tidd was reopened on .Inunary 4. With the assistance of a subsidy of £iow recently granted l.y the Government an inclined drive was commenced on January 12. with tne object of locating the junction of two reefs at the aooft level, where it is anticipated a concentration of cold values will occur.
