SURPRISE LEGACY.

TWENTY-TWO-YEAR-OLD WILL HOSPITAL WILL BENEFIT. TOKOMARU BAY, Monday. The Waiapu Hospital Board has just come into a legacy under a 22-year-old will. Frederick Allen Green died in 1910 and in his will he left his estate to be divided among the hospital boards of New Zealand, pro rata, according to the number of beds. The Waiapu Board's share of this legacy amounted to £33 14/, but none of the board knew anything about it until to-day's meeting, when the secretary, Mr. J. Todd, announced' the position. The legacy was accepted with appreciation, members expressing surprise at the length of time which had elapsed between the late Mr. Green's death and the winding up of hie. estate.
