KITCHEN EVENING.

A most enjoyable kitchen evening was held on Saturday at the home of Mrs. J. C. Ronnie, Mairangi Bay, in honnour of Miss Ailsa McGregor, of Narrow Neck, who is to be married shortly. The hostess received her guests in bronze taffeta, the guest of honour wearing- a frock of pink and black floral ninon. Many handsome and useful gifts were presented to the bride-to-be. Winners of a trump whist competition were Mesdames Bourne and McGregor, and Messrs. N. R. Watkins and Jack Green.

Among those present were: Mesdames E. G. McGregor. Victor Clay. Gco. Mayhill. J. S. Wilcox. Bourne, n". R. Watkins, B. M. Green. W. L. Langridge, Misses Marjorie and Xgaire Bouruc and E. Gill.
