AMUSEMENTS.
ROXY-TIVOLI. Hero of a dozen Westerns already during his brief career on the screen, sixfoot red-headed Dick Foian has the leading role in "Prairie Thunder," coming to the Roxy and Tivoli Theatres to-morrow. A rising young starlet in Ellen Clancy plavs opposite him, while the other featured players are Frank Orth, Wilfred Lucas, Albert J. Smith and Yakima Canutt. Foran is competent as usual as Rod Farrell, a member of the United States cavalry in the days when Indians were still on the warpath, while Ellen Clancr. as Joan Temple, shows considerable promise. The adventures of Rod Farrell and his pal Wichita (Frank Orth), when they are assigned to duty along the telegraph lines, form the basis of the plot, which develops in exciting fashion when they find a break in the lines caused by unfriendly Indians. "Prison Nurse," with Marion Marsh and Herbert Wilcoxon, on the same programme, centres about the planning and execution of a jjoal break from a large American penitentiary. Henry Wilcoxon is cast as a well-known surgeon, imprisoned for a mercy killing, who is forced to aid some desperate convicts in their escape. Ray Mayer, John Arledge and Addison Richards are also in prominent parts.
