SWIMMING BATHS.

A report wu presented to the Onehunga Borough Council last night by the engineer, Mr. H. Reynolds Bach, on the question of providing swimming baths by the council. He stated that the cost of a suitable scheme would probably involve a loan of £8000.

The report was adopted by the reserves committee and deferred until its next meeting. In the meantime the engineer k to test for rock on the suggested site behind the Halstead block in Queen Street.
