SEVERELY HURT.

TROTTING PRESIDENT. MOTOR CAR CAPSIZES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ASHBTJRTOX, Monday. The president of the New Zealand Trotting Association, Mr. H. F. Xicoll, suffered severe injuries when his car capsized on the main south road six mile* north of Ashburton this afternoon. The bursting of a tyre caused the car to turn completely over several times. Air. Xicoll was admitted to a private hospital with two broken ribs, a fractured thigh, injuries to the head and very serious shock. Mrs. Xicoll, who was also in the car, escaped with a severe shaking. The car was extensively damaged.
