TRIALS AT RANDWICK. ROYAL CHIEF AND STRETTO. (Received 12 noon.) SYDXEY, this day. Some attractive gallops were performed iat Kandwick this morning. Royal Chief jran a mile in 1.45 on the tan—a very .satisfactory trial. Stretto, also on the j tan, covered seven furlonga in 1.39. - ° n , the course proper Young Idea ran ■five furlongs in 1.4. Young Crusader ran jlO furlongs in 2.12. The latter finished very well. Lumulet finished strongly to record 1.44 for a mile. Gold Rod could have bettered 1.32 for seven furlongs. f Rival Hit, who has recovered from his , injury, ran six furlongs in 1.18%. Gee;bung, surprisingly, beat Publicity over [six furlongs in 1.17%. Spear Chief beat j Denis, another prominent Epsom candidate, over seven furlongs in 1.32. I At Rosebery the Epsom favourite, Ni«htguard, pleased by running six furlongs in 1.17%.
