CRASH INTO STREAM.
MOTORIST RESCUED. CAR IN §FT OF WATER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. A car driven by a man named Hopkins, of Waihi, crashed through the approach to the Waitakaruru Stream l>ridge on Saturday night, coming to rent in about Bft of water. Two men, Me«sr«. G. and S. Beaver, who were nenr hy, dived into the stream, bringin a the motorist to eafety. Mr. Hopkine had managed to clamber out of the window of his small eedan car. He received ■ naety gash to a leg. He wa* taken to Auckland.
