j PAPAKURA- SALE. FAT COWS TO £9 17/8. (Prom Onr Own Correspondent.) PAPAKURA, Saturday. Upwards of 250 head of cattle were penned at the Papakura eale conducted by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited. In the dairy closers no very choice quality cattle were yarded. Competition was keen throughout the sale, and practically a total clearance was effected. Prices' realised were as follows:—Beet fat cows and heifers made up to £9 17/6, medium £6 to £8, lijsht £4 to £5 15/; store cows, £4 to £5 15/; boners, 35/ to £4; dairy cows and heifers close up £8 to £10. others £G 15/ to £7 15/, poorer and backward £4 10/ to £6; herd bulls, to £8 10/; cows with calves at foot, £3 to £7. all counted; yearling Jersey heifere. to £4 15/; weaner pigs, to £1 ]/.. A flame-thrower made £9 10/. Messrs. J. Hardwick and V. Goddard were the auctioneers.
