BIG SPORTS PROGRAMME.

PLANS FOR CENTENNIAL (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Preliminary arrangements for organising the conduct in Wellington during the Centennial Exhibition of what promises to be the greatest series of sports events ever held in • one season in the Dominion were discussed to-night, when 40 representatives of national and Wellington sports bodies met the directors of the New. Zealand Centennial Exhibition ' Company, Limited.

As a result of the discussion, the meeting formed itself into a general sports committee and appointed an executive consisting of one representative of each of the organisations which proposes to hold its national championships in Wellington in 1939 or 1940. The committee will co-ordinate the proposed dates and co-operate with the sports committee of the exhibition company's directorate.
