LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.

Belmont-Bayawater.— The monthly meeting was held in the Presbyterian Hall, Belmont, the president, Mrs. Verran, presiding. An interesting article on Mothers' Day was read by one of the members.

Devonport.—Mrs. A. Lane presided at a recent meeting of the Devonport branch of the League of Mothers when Mrs. F. O. English, provincial president, gave an interesting address on the euccess of the movements of the League of Mothers. She spoke of the library whk-h was now available to assist mothers in problems o upbringing that might confront them. During the afternoon elocutionary items were given by Mm. N. Goldsworthy.

Ponsonby.— Over 200 members, husbands, fathers, ministers from neighbouring churches and visitors attended the "Fathers' Night" held at the Leys Institute. Visitors were cordially welcomed by the president, Mrs. S. 0. English, who expressed her joy on seeing so many fathers present. Enjoyable instrumental, vocal and elocutionary items were given by artists, all of whom were presented with posies. The speaker, Mr. K. C. Reid, gave an address on physical culture.
