REVELLERS' CLUB.
DANCE HELD.
The opening night of the Revellers' New Dance Club proved quite a euccess when a fair gathering assembled in the Patrician Rooms, Victoria Street. Dancing was enjoyed to the excellent muflic played by Mrs. Dye, with Mr. Selwyn Patterson at the drums. The extra supper waltz was played by Mrs. V. Hogg. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs. Picknell and Mr. Shaw, and a mock Monte Carlo by Miss Brooks and Mr. Franklin. The winners of the lucky numbere were Mrs. Hewitt and Mr. A. Chapman. Mrs. Black was well received in traditonal Maori song numbers, and Mr. Nel Francis also rendered two songs. Air. W. Hogg proved an excellent master of ceremonies. The winners of the five hundred card tournament run in conjunction with the dance, and supervised by Mrs. Barfoot, were Mrs. Bowsher and Mr. Pink.
Among those present were: Mesdames Dye, V. Hogg, W. Hogg. Christie. Wells, Cairns. Chapman. Skinner, Parsons, Bach. Munroe. Hewitt, C. Smith. Picknell. Burton. Hunter, Jaoobsen, Pickering. Jackeon. Whiteman. Boyce, Barfoot; Misses Brooks, Boynes, E. Barfoot and Nicholls.
