WEATHER FORECAST.

FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate and variable j winds, with south-easterlies to northerlies predominating. Weather for the most part fine, with mild day but cold night temperatures and some morning fogs, or in places light drizzle. Seas slight to moderate. Barometers have risen considerably over New Zealand and right ecross the south Tasrnan Sea. Pressure gradients are slight and there is no sign of any active disturbance in the region. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-south-east, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine and clear; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
