YOUTHFUL ENGLISH TEST CRICKETER.—D. C. S. Compton (Middlesex), who was 20 years of age on May 23, has been one of England's outstanding batsmen this-season, scoring 741 runs at an average of 62. He is here seen off-driving H. G. Vivian at the Oval last August, when he was run out after making 65 on his Test debut in the third international between England and New Zealand. Compton also plays on the wing for Arsenal, the 1938 English Soccer champions.
