Reported British Purchase of 250,000 Tons.
STORAGE FOR EMERGENCY.
LONDON, May 23. The British Government wijl begin noon the purchase of 250,000 tons of home grown meat to place in cold storage, says the agricultural • editor of the "Daily Telegraph." This will be equivalent to 80 shiploads, and wfll afford two months' reserve supply. •
