THEFT FROM WORKMATE.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, this day. George Burns, a labourer, for theft of a cashbox and fflo 10/ from the tent of a workmate at the Parapara Road public works camp, was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment by Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., in the Wanganui Magistrate's Court to-day.
