CLUB NEWS FROM SUNSHINE HOUSE

Bayfleld Club (Horn* Bayi—Ten nice patches, a pair or bootees, and a woollen cap arrived tills week rrom the Flaylleld Sunbeams. Wγ welcome J"yre Sneddon, who has Just linked up with thu Heme nay club. Later sister Harbnra sent in Is! well-knitted patehe?, anil a couple of little baby garments. • • • • Betty's Club—This week the Hetty's Club sent us a very nice unlined sniffle lierl f|iiiit or 78 knitted patches, and a very welcome parcel of new and used baby clothes. • • • • Busy Elves (Kohlmarama) —A cosy pink rvit quilt, three patches and a parcel of used clothing , arrived this week from Dawn Ileekett Tor the credit oT the Elves. Thanks, Dawn. * » • • Cheery Chums (Point Chevalier!— Twenty-five, patches and three little singlets arrived this week from the. Cheery chums of Point Chevalier. Ada Mitchell is a new member, and we send her a warm welcome. • • • • Coronation Club (Mornlmrslde) —We have, to thank the Coronation members tor two single bed quilts, splendidly made up from "<tar" patches. • * » * Cuckoo Club (Mission nay)— One of the most heaimrul patchwork quilts that either Peter Pan or Wendy had seen Tor a long while arrived this week rrom Marie Main Tor the. credit or the Cuckoos. The quilt comprised 90 patches or identical >ize. and was really a wonderful piece or work. Many thanks to. Marie. Later there arrived five patches rrom Ruth. ♦ • * * Curly Club (Auckland)— The, Curly Club Is captained by Homa Mill, but we have no record or her members. Your idea for a "bring: and buy" is quite a (rood one, Honia, but I think It would have to be conllned to individual clubs, as it would not be possible to do as you suggest. • ♦ » # Ever Willing Helpers (Ponsonby)—Ten excellent patches arrived rrom these Ponsonby Sunbeams during- the week, as well as a dainty little, petticoat. Fern Club (Rayswatcr)—A parcel or book-, two jolly little soap dishes—one pink and one blue— a sinylet and 1/ for the. lining- fiinrt arrived rrom this Rayswater club to earn our best thanks

Golden Stars (Avondale) —This week we received rrmn tin , star- two patches and ;i very dainty matinee jacket. We welcome Helen c.ow ami Alma Pearson lo the ranks <ir this Avnndali' club. • • « • Qoodwill Club (Newmarket)- —The first girt rrom tins rinb took the dirrn or a line strip of 30 Joined patches, a collection ill' HSPl'nl clothing, sumo toys and hooks, some soap, a pair of ffloves and a salmon pink frock. Later came 1! , .' patches, sewn tog-ether, and four loo.se ones. All excel lent start, girls. Happy Days (Mount Albert I—A very large parcel or Sunshine girts arrived this week from the Happy Days Club at Mount Albert. This Included three bcautirul little dressing (rown.». so dainty and cosy. 30 well-knitted patches, throe pairs or bootees, a small collection of cloth ing. and a large number or hooks and toys. and 2/9 for the lining fund. Splendid work, girls. We send a welcome to Hiith Norris, a new member. • « • • Hawthorn Club (IV. a. Auckland Olrls' I'.rammar School)—A little frock and cape, a cosy pair of bloomers, and two pairs or shoes arrived this week rrom this Auckland Grammar cluh. Later we received IT well-knitted patches, two new singlets, a pair or bootees, and two little knitted caps. • • • * Kiltie Club (New Lynn)—Thirteen nicely knitted patches, two pairs of bootees and a bonnet arrived this week as this club's fourth girt ror the campaign. • • » * King Pippin Club (Huntlv) —"Wellwisher" sends Cd Tor our sliver lining rund. the points to be added to the K:ng Pippin's total. Later there arrived nine patches, a hat and a pair or μ-lnves rrom the club. Welcome to Alison Reams, who has joined the ranks of the King Pippins. Koala Olub (Papakura)—Sixteen patches all well knitted, to acknowledge rrom this club with the Australian name. • • • * Kowhai Willing Worker* (Kowhal Intermediate School)—A large and very nice parcel arrived this week rrom Captain Pal of the Kowhai Willing Workers. This contained two patchwork linings, a warm little cot coverlet, 20 well-made patches, joined together, some, lining pieces, and a small collection or used clothing. Later there arrived from Peggy Hrinkihan and Joan Sinimonds a parcel containing patches and six school frocks
