N.Z. MUSICIAN.
YOUNG GIRL'S SUCCESS. TO STUDY IN LONDON. Miss Cara Hall, L.R.S.M., of Wellington, will leave Auckland by the Awatea on May 9 to continue her studies in London. Miss Hall's talent is already well known in New Zealand and her recitals have brought, her praiso from the critics. "Nimmo's Hall was too small to accommodate all who wished to attend the first pianoforte recital given by Miss
Cara Hall," said the • "Dominion." "Miss Hall, who is only 15 years of age," continued the report, "showed a remarkable aptitude for the pianoforte, displaying in difficult music an artistic sense of values and a technical authority far beyond her years. "In all brances of music something of the nature of the performer comes through to the audience," continued the "Dominion." "In the case of Miss Hall there was a certain freshness and charm which lent a bloom to her playing that was delightful to absorb and enjoy. While the young pianist is ordinarily quite grave and reposeful at the keyboard there were dainty passages here and there, notably in the Schumann number, so lovely that Cara smiled in sympathy with them."
