POWER STATION EMPLOYEE.

TOUCHED GO.OOO-VOLT CABLE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) LEVIN, this day. A narrow escape from death by electrocution was experienced by a man employed at the Mangahao hydro-electric power station yesterday afternoon while cleaning a portion of the machinery. The man was Mr. B. Murdock, aged 3S, married, and he came in contact with a cable carrying fiO.OOO volts. He suffered severe burns to both feet and hands jand was sent to hospital.
