A REAL HERO.

He was Valentine Holdosi, a. Hungarian boy who, escaping from the Yangtzepoo fighting, went back for his pete--anfl got them. The Shanghai S.P.C.A. and the Coneular Corps tried to secure him a. page to return to his home after he had been rescued at the end of 13 days of fighting. His pets, he explained, had been left without food or water. Two and a half days pa-soed. and little Valentine could stand it no longer. He darted through the Chinese lines, crossed the river, walked two mile* and a half through the war (wlor. found his pots in & now ruined house, and then completed the dangerous return journey. A police patrol finally pir-k<vd him up, British Tommies gave his dogs a bath, and Valentine's namp i« now to bo forwarded to the R.S.P.r.A who trill V*> a.=ked to recognise a real little hero.
