WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. i The Government Meteorologist * issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weatiter forecast for the Auckland r province to as far south as Hamilton, ? Kawhia and Tauranga:— j Light to moderate northerly winds, gradualty freshening. Weather fine and warm, but cloud increasing and 1 later some scattered ra>n developing. Seas slight to moderate. An anti-cyclone is still situated east 1 of the Dominion, and has intensified somewhat since yesterday. A westerly depression is approaching across the Tasman Sea, but its movement has been slow. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for northerly winds, freshening. There is a prospect of fair weather and warm temperatures, with increasing hazo and cloudiness and scattered rain develop-, ing later. Barometer little movement. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north-north-east, moderate; ® ea - ' weather, One and elear; visibility, good; barometer, rising slowly.
