CUSTOMS AND POLICE.
TRANBFERS ANNOUNCED. (B/ Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, Monday. Mr. Q. P. Pritchard, sub-Collector s>f Customs at DunCdin, has been transferred to the position of Collector of Customs at Timaru in succession to Mr. F. Oxford, who ha« retired on superannuation. To replace Mr. Pritchard at Duncdin, Mr. W. H. Lewie, at present nswistant sub-collector at Auckland, is ljeing transferred. Senior-Sergeant Packer, who hae been stationed at Dunedin for the past three years, has been promoted to the rank of sub-inspector and transferred to Christchurch. He will be replaced at Dunedin l>y Senior-Sergeant C'laasen, of Kaitaia.
